First Post

Well this is it, the first posting… this blog is still a work in progress! Although I am fairly html-illiterate, so this is possibly as good as it will get…
And what is this blog all about? I am embarking on the trip of a lifetime – a year abroad studying at the Institute of Political Studies in Paris, with a bit of travel before and after. You can expect to see many interesting pictures from Singapore, the Netherlands, Italy, Greece… and that’s just the first 6 weeks!
There are a few pictures up from my farewell dinner on 13th July and drinks on the 15th– thanks again to everyone who came along! Both nights were fantastic and a wonderful way to say goodbye.Well, that is it for my short intro, stay tuned for the next post which will probably be in Singapore or the Netherlands… I have to go and PACK because I am leaving on Wednesday and feeling slightly disorganised! But I have great faith in things working out in the end!

Hehehe, just kidding. Hope you have a fantastic but above all safe trip!
Hee Brenna,
Was very nice meeting you although we didn't spend that much time together...I'll make it up to you whenever you're in Amsterdam.
I'll keep following you on your blog and when I notice your address from Paris somewhere over here, I'll immidiately sent you that music ass promised.
Good Luck in Paris!!!

Dearest Bren,
Which magical, mysterious and mesmerizing country are you in as you read this?? It's Wednesday the 19th as I write and you are either on the plane or about to board (I believe you said you were leaving in the afternoon but I could be wrong, still the former will still naturally apply). I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you as you start off on your amazing voyage and that no matter which distant land you are in we will all be thinking of you and missing you in equal intensity! I don't need to tell you that you will undoubtely have the most remarkable and truly memorable trip, you know it and others have said it for me! Just remember to keep safe, to keep warm, or cool depending where you are, and to keep in touch when you can. We are all looking forward to hearing of your adventures and exploits! Don't fret about missing out on life in Melb. It will be oh-so-very boring here without you and I expect that we shall all stay at home everynight for the next year eagerly awaiting your return!
Buon voyage!
Love Beth
